Vocational Rehabilitation 

Vocational Rehabilitation (VR) is a federal-state program that works with people who have physical or mental disabilities to prepare for, gain or retain employment. Early Learning Coalition

The Early Learning Coalition of Alachua County (ELCAC) in Gainesville, FL, serves as a resource for families and early childhood educators. Providing enriching early learning opportunities for children age birth to five ensures that children will begin school ready to learn.  Please click here to access ELCAC's website.

 

Sarkis Clinical Trials

Sarkis clinical Trials conducts mental health and other research studies for participants of all ages, ranging from infants to adults. Our studies address issues such as depression, anxiety, bipolar disorder, autism and ADHD. Studies addressing other medical issues are also conducted for migraines, insomnia, flu virus and epilepsy. All research participants receive testing, treatment, study-related medication and doctor’s visits at no charge. Eligible participants may also receive reimbursement for time and travel. Displaced Homemaker Program: Focus on the Future

Empowerment and Employability classes:  September 7th-24th:  8:30 a.m. – 12:30 p.m. M-F at the Santa Fe College NW campus.  Free of charge to eligible participants, includes basic computer skills instruction.

Alachua County Victim Services & Rape Crisis Center 
Urges citizens to stay vigilant about their safety and the safety of others when it comes to the crime of sexual assault.  The Center encourages the community to visit the RAINN (Rape, Incest, and Abuse National Network) website at www.RAINN.org for tips on reducing one's risk of sexual assault. The Center offers confidential phone counseling 24 hours a day at 352-264-6760 or toll-free 866-252-5439. Callers can remain anonymous.
