Community News

Alachua County was named one of America's 100 Best Communities for Young People by America's Promise Alliance. Over 300 communities were nominated for the competition and the winners represent 39 states. Of the 100 communities, 22 have received this honor 5 times and 29 are joining the list for the 1st time.

This is the second time Alachua County has won this honor and been recognized nationally for our high schools, accessible library, as well as numerous other programs dedicated to our youth.
